CURRICULUM DEVELOPMENT WORKSHOP FOR UNIVERSAL ACCEPTANCE

• Curriculum Development Workshops for Universal Acceptance:  – Workshops  were held on 7th and 8th June, 2023 at SLIDA from 8.45am to 12.30pm.
• Curriculum Development Workshops: A planned, purposeful, progressive, and systematic process to create positive improvements in the higher educational system of Sri Lanka.
• Mr. Harsha Wijayawardhana was the main resource person  of this event.
• SLTC Research University and NSBM Green University actively participated in the event.

Suggested learning outcome of the students

• Describe Universal Acceptance (UA) with Internationalized Domain Names (IDNs) and Email Address Internationalization (EAI) and Software Applications
• Describe Brief History of the Internet and its multi-stakeholder Governance model as well as an acquaintance of some of the organizations involved in running the Internet: ICANN, ISOC, IANA, IETF, etc.
• Set up IDN in Sinhala and Tamil and Domain Name Server configurations IDNs setups. 
• Identify components required to set up UA complied Mail Platform: MTA, MDA, MUA.
• Set up Mail Servers supporting Sinhala and Tamil.
• Identify UA and EAI requirements in Software Development and how to look for best-suited Software Development Tools and programming languages.
• Have fundamental knowledge of Security Aspects in the use of IDNs, and EAI.
